Can you help?

Scans or photo copies of early D*mond ancestor images (pre 1900) and other images such as homesteads, gravestones, documents, records, etc. are appreciated and add to everyone's experience at this site.

Mary Polly Lawson/Lossing
Direct maternal line descendants should be aware of the possibilities' regarding her Amerindian ancestry using mtDNA.
There is a direct maternal Amerindian lineage among the females of the Stephentown Dymond branches as well. Contact study administrator for details.

Participate

If you want to take part in this project you will find genetic proof of your descent from either of the D*mond Lineages of Hudson's River and kinship. You will leave a genetic record for your descendants and future researchers.

**A WORD of CAUTION**
Please be aware there are bogus and unscrupulous genetic genealogy DNA companies. One of the traditional internet genealogy companies has now gotten into the business of DNA testing. They are responsible for making genealogy a farce and now they are doing the same with genetic genealogy.
Having been at this since the beginning of public market DNA testing I am aware of who they are. If you have questions in this regard contact the project manager.

Note from the project manager:
I under took this study in the year 2002 as a volunteer being an enthusiast of our paternal lineage history with the desire to preserve and add to the body of knowledge that has been accumulated over the years by many family members from many branches and to correct misinformation where necessary. I am not connected to FTDNA or any other testing lab. I have never received compensation or incentive of any kind for my time or effort. There is nothing for me to gain from this study other than a greater understanding of common  ancestors and the opportunity to communicate with ‘cousins' for the purpose of sharing information.
This is a good faith effort for family history, recreational genetics, and genealogy for family lineage members.
